Kuroyuki by Rxl-Noir Kuroyuki by Rxl-Noir
A fully revised katana from my previous work, which is totally different from what I had in mind.
When you saw the previous Kuroyuki, it wasn't even a katana, hence the revision. Planned this as a series of multiple katana based on my own story.

Working on this while I should've worked my final assignment... Yeah, my focus need some serious training.

Oh, just in case I'm out of touch because of work/play/anything; each and every work of mine is free to use/modify as per Creative Common License (I'll update the license for most of my works), WITH attribution to me. Kuroyuki, a katana developed by Reinhardt Armaments, specially designed for close range encounter with high-speed combat in mind. Using an advanced metallic material, strengthened with e-Carbon coating, and reinforced with a 3rd gen S3 (Shift Shield Stream), Kuroyuki have an almost impossible endurance against anything while pertaining its flexibility. With embedded nanobot technology inside S3, Kuroyuki is provided with regenerative self-sharpening capability, discarding any needs of maintainance in and out of battlefield.

*Updated: A minor one. The sheath kinda meh, and the blade is adjusted to fit the new one.
*2nd update: Add a description, little shadow, to syncing with my next sword, Shirohana.
*UPDATE : Removing the sheath until I got a good enough idea of how it should be.
*Update.Again : I swear it's gonna be the last one. Thanks to my buddy, LucianGraveheart24 's keen eyes, finally found out what's kinda wrong; it's too long to be designated as katana, more into a nodachi. :p Now, it's shortened a bit, and seeing that the blade itself is a little plain, some little decorations were added.

The rest of the series :

*nods* Thanks for the shout-out. Now it's roughly the length of what an O-katana would be. :)

Also, I've come up with character who uses the No-dachi form of Kuroyuki & Shirohana. Just need to iron out a few details before writing his bio. :)

This looks more like a no-dachi to me, simply looking at the blade. Not something made for tight corridors, but more for fighting in the streets or on rooftops.

Dangit, I knew it was too long... Always had a problem with measuring the length in canvas. Thanks for the heads up!

Probably gonna shorten it a bit to make it closer to a katana, and the previous length would be used for the next one, an anti-building/infastructure nodachi.

The sight when Hijikata Mamoru of Shi ga Futari o Wakatsu Made slices up a steel I-beam with a nodachi was cool as hell, even though that statement is contradict itself.

Actually, I say keep it as a no-dachi. That way, it comes across as a really scary war sword. :)

Ugh, I already made some changes on the canvas though... Well, if it's nodachi you want, do not wait for too long, because the next one should be one.

Who am I kidding?
Okay, just wait. I can't really promise fast work, but seeing that the nodachi actually using the the current Kuroyuki's length, it should be fast. I guess?

Looking at it, I think you'd need take maybe 2 inches max, perhaps and inch and a half.

A very interesting weapon, i'm mostly interested in its regenerative self-sharpening ability. Is it ok for you if I use this in my fanfic?

Hmmm, so you've got a set of red katanas and a black katana. Any chances of a green, purple or blue katana?

Hmm, I really don't have a plan of which color should I used on the last two, but blue (between pale blue or dark blue) is a candidate for it that fits for the whole theme. Green and purple is kinda way too flashy for me.
